Short Intensive Course

Why not improve your Japanese and experience Japanese culture on a Short-Stay Visa?

1. Available Courses

Spring Course Jan - Feb Apr - Jun 200 hrs JLPT N5 or higher
Autumn Course Jul - Aug Oct - Dec 200 hrs JLPT N5 or higher

Classes will be decided according to your level (N1 - N4).
Classes are small, with less than 20 students.
Those who attend more than 90% of their classes will receive a diploma on completion of the course.
Students attend class four times a day, Monday to Friday. Each class runs for 50min.
Students attend either morning lessons or afternoon lessons, depending on which class they belong to.

2. Lessons

Our school has developed a curriculum to enable students to better understand the Examination for Japanese University (EJU) and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). All lessons are given in Japanese, allowing students to naturally improve their Japanese conversation ability.
Students will study: listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, written expression, verbal expression, matters on Japan.

3. Advantages of the Short Course

  • There is no long wait between application and the commencement of studies (as little as 1 month) (as opposed to long-term courses which require more than 6 months to issue a student visa)
  • The cost is much less
  • Get the experience of student exchange in Japan before entering long-term exchange programs.
  • All instruction is given in Japanese so students can study more effectively than in their own country
  • Study while mixing with our current exchange students (from China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Australia, etc.)

5. School/Accommodation Fees

(1) School Fees

This price covers the cost of text books. It does not cover the travel expenses to Morioka.
Medical Insurance is also required during your stay (approx. 13,000yen)

(2) Accommodation Fees (Dormitory)

The dormitory has communal kitchen, toilets and bathroom. The dormitory does not provide meals, so students will need to cook for themselves.
School fees and the 3 months worth of accommodation fees must be paid for in advance.

6. Note

  • The letter of admission and the letter of endorsement will be sent after receipt of payment has been confirmed. Please visit your nearest Japanese Embassy or Consular Office to make an application for a Short-Stay Visa once you receive these letters.
  • Students on the short course are not permitted to work during their stay. Please be sure to bring enough funds for your stay.
  • In case of illness or injury during their stay, all students are required to take out medical insurance.
